Ash Sunrise
Graphite... Mars Lumograph 2H-8B, mechanical 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 2H, HB and 2B, and Koh-I-Noor graphite sticks, over Strathmore Drawing Paper 9×12" (11×14 with margins).

Yours truly doesn't want to know anything about graphite for a long while. Not exactly my favourite technique. But I wanted to prove myself I could do something that kinda resembles the work of the great graphite masters from here from dA. Everybody does graphite, why shouldn't I?

The model here is the lovely Ash (*mylovestory), having taken as reference the lovely photo from hers called 'Sunrise' (hence the title "Ash Sunrise" which seemed cool to me). She says she's one of the sexiest people in dA and I totally agree. Go take a look at her gallery, she is a different kind of beauty, that's why I liked her and asked her to draw her photo, and she kindly accepted, so here you are. Thanks a lot to Ash for allowing me to draw her, it's been a pleasure!

I'm glad you like it Karen...

But I 'm not so satisfied with it. I used the wrong paper (too much tooth which made it way too grainy) and a technique which is totally not my forte (graphite). I guess I'll just stick to my pastels for a while.
